JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer

DEPARTMENT: Operations

LOCATION: Singapore

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager


JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer designs, integrates and improves manufacturing systems and process for additive manufacturing (AM) in the Operations Department. The individual will also work with the Sales and Design teams to refine product designs and troubleshoot issue relating to design, materials or manufacturing processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop program and generate required toolpaths for additive manufacturing process.
  2. Design and continuously improve process parameters for metal additive manufacturing processes.
  3. Lead in product and process qualifications initiatives for development of future metal additive machines / systems.
  4. Support external and third-party collaboration projects for new product or process development works.
  5. Responsible for documentation of data and submit project results in a timely manner.
  6. Provide leadership and support to operations team to ensure timely delivery of parts.
  7. Support 3D printing post-processing requirements.
  8. Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
  9. Consistently produce quality work and recommend areas where quality can be improved.
  10. Perform training for professional development of technical personnel

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years related experience; or
  • Diploma in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Materials Engineering with minimum 5 years related experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands on experience in MIG/CMT welding and ABB robots

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge in post processing of 3D printed parts
  • Knowledge on DED additive manufacturing is an added advantage
  • Ability in managing production workflows, supplies and materials
  • Flexible, versatile, able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and dynamic workflow
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsible for a wide range of manufacturing processes within an additive manufacturing environment, including setup, operating, and maintaining of various 3D printing machines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage production workflows for in-house and out-sourced work
  2. Perform routine production activities such as setting and operating production and post-production machinery.
  3. Troubleshoot processes and production equipment to produce finished goods to specifications.
  4. Ensure supplies and materials availability for production
  5. Participate in identification and elimination of waste within the production area.
  6. Perform routine calibrations and maintenance on equipment, including cleaning of machinery, and general housekeeping of work areas.
  7. Ensure compliance with all health and safety rules and regulations
  8. Fully comply with codes of practice, standard operations, and safe work procedures
  9. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Education:

  • Diploma in Engineering, or
  • GCE ‘A’ level with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Nitec / Higher Nitec in Engineering, with 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing or additive manufacturing environment

Skills & Knowledge

JOB TITLE: Senior Manufacturing Engineer (DED/Robotics)

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager


JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer (DED/Robotics), develops, integrates, and improves DED/Robotics additive manufacturing (AM) system and DED processes in Operations Department. The individual will also work with the Sales and Design teams for New Product Introductions tailored for DED manufacturing, materials characterisation, process parameters development and optimization. Handle the installation and implementation of new DED BP and WA AM systems in Singapore and US manufacturing sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee installation and roll out of DED systems, including software and hardware integration, commissioning, and training
  • Explore ideal DED software for 3DMF to adopt and execute this quickly across company’s manufacturing locations
  • To identify hardware and software for integration and upgrading of DED systems capability
  • Ensure software compatibility with current systems as well as future systems
  • Design, troubleshoot and improve process parameters for DED AM processes to improve quality and productivity.
  • Perform test and analysis on metals printing to ensure the resultant microstructure and mechanical properties are optimised for the DED additive processes.
  • Lead in product and process qualifications for development of future metal additive DED machines.
  • Support external and third-party collaboration projects for new product or process development works for DED AM.
  • Manage 3D printing post-processing (PP) process and new PP developmental requirements such as Hybrid DED.
  • Direct the development of process, program and generate required toolpaths for DED additive manufacturing process.
  • Develop accurate and complete documentation of data and project results in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on Preventive Maintenance for DED metal printers and updating the schedule and tracking system for traceability.
  • Accountable for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within metal operations.
  • Maintain and ensure highest levels of HSE is observed within the production environment.
  • Provide guidance and leadership related to projects under the DED metals AM team.
  • Perform training for professional development of Engineers and technical personnel under his team.
  • Manage workflow of the metal AM team to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • PhD / MSc in Engineering with 2 years related experience
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years related experience
  • Hands on experience in DED/Robotic control processes is a must.

  • Experience with G Code programming of 3 axis CNC mills as well as lathes.
  • Experienced in setting up and operating CNC equipment.
  • Cad Cam experience a plus
  • Experience with high alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Solid print reading capabilities including understanding of GD&T dimensioning.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team environment
